Community changes and updates!

Hello!

Today is normally the day that the activity check would go up, but instead I'm here to discuss some changes to the community. This is not a post stating that the community is shutting down. I just want to say that first and for most.

As you all have noticed, things have slowed down a considerable amount here in the community, and rather than continue to push for things that are better suited for a large scale community things here are going to be geared more towards a GPSL or Sandbox-esque game. This means that there will be more hands off moderation overall (I'm well aware that I already do the bare minimum as is, but there are a lot of things that generally don't need to be done.)

The changes that are being made to the community are as follows:

- There will no longer be activity checks. Instead, once a month, I will just do quiet clean up and then have the claims list updated to reflect that. The change will be that muses who have not tweeted or responded to tweets within the past month will be removed from the community. This is a similar situation to how one of our activity checks currently works. It is just that no list or post will be made for it.

- The application process will be heavily simplified. I know that this might not be fair to the people who have applied with the old application format, but as there is an energy and shift away from the old format for the community, I realize that such detailed applications and information is no longer required.

- Journals are now optional. I understand that activity in the community is heavily twitter based. With the switch to no activity checks and the way that the community has slowed down a lot, this change will better help the people in the community. If there are people who choose to apply or join, they will need a journal in order to actually apply. The quick add/quick remove will be removed as well.

- The calendar will still be updated.

- There is no activity check for this month.

Thank you guys for staying with us through this entire time. The rules will be updated at the beginning of September to better reflect these changes, but I wanted to give you guys an overview of these changes first.

July Cuts and Moderation Notes

Hey, how's it going you guys? Here's the cut list for July, as well as our moderation notes.

- Once again! We thank you guys for your participation in the community, without you, we wouldn't be able to do this!.

- We are hiring! Right now, we are not looking for necessarily a co-mod, but as things get busier and busier for myself (I am only a one person), I will need someone who can do things such as update the claims list! That's all that you will be required to do, update the claims list and make sure the holds are monitored correctly. Shoot us a DM if you are able to do this! I will still be handling everything else (cuts, updating the calendar, and claims list, running the twitter etc). This is just for the claims list

- I am also looking for someone to help work on a guide to EAST ASIAN ENT RP on dreamwidth. As mentioned in the last mod update, we are looking to reach out to

krpcollective, and would want to provide a guide for those who have never played on dreamwidth. We have been intending to do this since the community opened, but unfortunately, my own busy schedule has caused me to put it off.

June Moderation Notes

Hello there! Here are the moderation notes for June.

- As mentioned on twitter, there are no cuts this month due to some health issues that I've been dealing with. Thank you guys for your patience and understanding with us being slow here and there.

- As a way to help give people a chance with voice test their potential muses for greek letters, by introducing the voice testing post! Thank you

jaewons for the idea.

- The activity check for July will be a meme, and will take place as scheduled.

- The July calendar has been updated and is on the community

lettersevents, and we recommend you guys take note of the calendar and the events coming up.

- As a part of our attempt to reach out and increase the amount of muses in the community, we are considering advertiisng on twitter (with the permission from

krpcollective). However, we have been attempting to come up with a guide to dreamwidth rp (just pretaining to things like icons, journal layouts, and so forth), and while there are existing guides, most are for panfandom rp. If there is anyone who is interested in potentially creating this guide, please let us know and we can go over things with you.

Rules

The rules in this post are the most pertinent to game play. Any person found breaking these rules will be issued a warning. Three warnings or "strikes" will end on the player being removed from the community. All rule breaking instances will be dealt with in a case-by-case basis and only with the player(s) involved. The mod team retains the right to remove any member severely violating the rules and to make changes to the rules. If you feel someone in the community is breaking these rules, or behaving in a manner harmful to the community feel free to PM the mods or issue a complaint through our community dropbox.
